Good food, the steaks are real good and the staff is excellent

I was visiting the area from Maryland. This is an interesting place. Our group was placed in a small room, which was nice for us to be able to visit with each other. The food was good and the service was good also. It seemed very busy for dinner, so I recommend getting there kind of early, or there may be a bit of a wait. I would recommend this place to friends.

Super fast service and great food

This is an old established restaurant serving seafood, fish and steak. The food is always fresh and good. It's been a favorite of ours and has a reputation for great food. You can mention the name just about anywhere in the southeast and people will know what you are talking about. The building is showing it's age is the main drawback.

Always great service and awesome food. My family have been going here for as long as I remember and will continue to do so as long as we can.

Great food carry out.

Food was great. The wait to be seated was almost 2 hours. Which according to regular customers, seems rather typical. They don't take reservations and when we called they suggested we come later because of a verry large party they were expexting. Waiting was a mistake. Come early and get on the list. The atmosphere was very casual like a picnic but very loud and crowded. The atmosphere did not match the prices on the menue. Avg $25 per person. Menue selection was rather limited in main courses and sides. They were out of several seafood options as well. Service as ok but staff although appering experienced, seemed rushed, loud and frazzled by the crowd. The. Saving grace is the food is above average but not sure if is worth the wait.

Our church group from Providence United Methodist Church in Chancellor goes every year near Christmas. We have a great time! This year we had 27 that were able to attend...a few of our regulars were unable to attend...but we still needed 2 rooms 🙂🙂. Our waitress was Lucy. She was wonderful! Got every order correct the first time! Husband had half an order of catfish fillets with hushpuppies, fries and slaw. I had half order of shrimp with hushpuppies, fries and slaw. We had ordered a large order of onion rings to share with our friends. As usual, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs!! Way too much food. Shrimp were cooked perfectly...tender, not overcooked. Catfish was good too. Husband had thought perhaps he should have gotten a full order of catfish. Til he finished eating🙂🙂. He could not have eaten a full order!

The food was delicious, and service was great. I loved that this local family owned restaurant is in an old church.

I have been going to Mc Lin's for more than 10 years, and I have never experienced bad service, nor have I recieved a bad meal. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Definitely a favorite of mine!!!!

One of our favorite places. This unique little restaurant has lots of private dining areas and a delicious menu full of southern comfort favorites. You MUST have the fried chicken. I love their fried fish as well. They also have some of the fluffiest baked potatoes around.

Cannot find Better Seafood ANYWHERE!!! BEEN EATING HERE Close to 50 years....ALWAYS Consistent. They also serve EXCELLENT BLACK ANGUS STEAKS!!!

Purchased the seafood platter today. Fried Shrimp was excellent , fried oysters were also good. Four of us also had the fried fish, which I don’t recommend because it had cooking oil still soaked into the fish. From experience cooking fried fish, I believe it wasn’t cooked at a high enough temperature of oil to let the oil drain out. My party of four just gave up on the catfish and left it. If you go there get the fried shrimp.

Terrific place to eat. Food extra good and plentiful. Recommend highly. Wait to be seated but not too long and service is very good.

Never disappointed always great food. Atmosphere loud not appealing to the eye . But once again food couldn't be better. I will continue going.

Today is mine and my husband's 32 anniversary and our first time of eating here. We was a little dissapointed . I ordered catfish and they was overcooked not leaving much fish on the bone to eat. Just glad I got the full order to make up for that. My husband got what was said to be jumbo shrimp that looked more like med. size and only 10 shrimp. Everyone was nice .Just didn't seem to get our money's worth.

Great family, steak house operating in a converted, old style church building.Lots of open seating or several private dining rooms; one has to be communal or confidential.Service brought one to a sense of home; timely, considerate, friendly and engaging. The food was prepared precisely and was simply delicious

Have been several times for steak dinner celebrations with friends. Staff is always friendly and prompt. Steak always comes out perfectly cooked. Hushpuppies, fries, and onion rings are also great. Have never been able to finish all food at dinner, but my dog doesn't seem to mind getting my steak scraps when I come home!

The food is fresh great tasting and the service is excellent I will definitely be going back again and again

This is my favorite restaurant. Good service. Love it. Always keep it up. McLin's restaurant made real prices, make money than Popeye's or Bojangles. No questions asked.

Depends on what type of food you like and want. The fried chicken was amazing....its was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. If you are looking for ANY fresh vegetables...don't lunch here. I would go back for more chicken!!!

Medium sized group. Service was good, liked having the tea picher and ice bucket was nice. Had the catfish that was mediocre, half was overcooked. I was not impressed after the build up I had received

This place has had the best food since 1980. The servers and management here are great. They are friendly. They even offer freebies at the counter when you pay. 😁

Everyone knows how good their food is. We just dont all get a chance to be there for a meal. Expensive but great food.

Great food!! Great service!! Warm and friendly staff!! The only negative I have, and have always had about Mc Lin's is the ambient noise issue. The restaurant is wildly popular and usually packed, so the noise level is high. It is difficult to hear conversation at one's own table. I have suggested to the management that they put some acoustic absorbing panels on the walls, but no results. Cheap carpet panels would do. Just to help reduce the noise level. The interior walls are concrete block so the noise just bounces around. Anyway, if you like a normal conversation with your dinner party, unless you are in a private room, you will not find it at Mc Lin's.

Great food, even the French fries are good! Excellent service and an appreciative staff. No waiting on drink refills because servers either leave two glasses of your favorite soda or a pitcher of tea at your table. The entire staff works as a systematic team to get you your food.
